Malvern – Weight Loss Camp Day Report – 12 Jun 2015
This special blog post report is what happened in one of our recent Fitfarms fat camp weeks as reported by one of our instructors.
Friday 12th June at FitFarms holistic fitness boot camp and this time it looks like the weather is going to be extremely nice especially at the end of the week.
We have around 20 guests who have joined us from different UK villages and cities and also a lady who has made the track from Germany. Helen and Andy go to the Malvern link train station to collect guests and the other participants arrive by car.
There is a communal area with hay bales and large green chairs surrounding a pit fire which makes a great communal area. The group have quickly gathered in this area and are chatting away which is a great sign as we can see that everyone is going to bond together well.
We start of with the fitness retreat welcome talk at 6:15pm. The talk is set out to ease the nerves and anxiety of the group. It also gives us a chance to introduce ourselves and explain what we do on the weight loss holiday programme.
Once the welcome talk is completed its down to the indoor exercise area which is a very sturdy marquee with a red sports mat to soften any falls if this was to unfortunately happen during the course of the weight loss boot camp. The exercise session was relatively short as we are aware that some guests are hungry as they have been travelling for most of the day.
Dinner was a fantastic mixed pulse curry which was loved by all the fit camp guest. Following dinner there is a briefing by Andy the health manager who goes through the next days activities.
The next part of the evening is very social as the health team sit down and talk to all the weight loss camp guests answering any questions and reassuring them that the course is going to be great fun.
